Savings Tips for a Memorable Vacation to Yosemite National Park, California
A pleasant vacation to Yosemite National Park does not have to be very expensive.Yosemite National Park in California is one of the first wilderness parks in the country. It is best known for the grandeur of valley, waterfalls, granite rock faces, ancient sequoias, rolling meadows, and a vast wilderness. The park spans a total area of more than 761,000 acres, reaching the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada chain of mountains. The park supports a vast diversity of flora and fauna, with 20% of all of California's plant species occurring within Yosemite.
Approximately 3.8 million people visit Yosemite every year, and most stay at Yosemite Valley. The Valley consists of only 1% of the park's total area. Nonetheless, this is the most accessible place where visitors congregate. In fact, the Tunnel View is the most photographed location in the Park, considering that it gives visitors their first glimpse of the valley and what lies beyond. Yosemite National Park is open year-round, so the influx of visitors never wanes. Park Services authorities encourage potential visitors to reserve their accommodations at least a year before their planned trip.
