Fort Lauderdale Money-Saving Tourist Guide
Exploring Fort Lauderdale as Frugal as PossibleDubbed as the Venice of America, Fort Lauderdale is a coastal city in Florida that is quite popular for its beaches and extensive canals that look like one of those in Venice. Apart from taking the bus, train or a car to go around the city, you can also take a cruise while visiting the city. It may not sound really frugal to take one on your end but cruising in Fort Lauderdale, staying in one of the local lodgings and visiting Miami the next day is actually much economical rather than staying in Miami and visiting Fort Lauderdale afterwards. Avoid taking a cab as taxis in the city tend to be very expensive. The city is abundant with free places to visit and things to do – go dolphin watching, snorkel your way into one of the reefs without using a boat, and hop into a trolley for a free trip to downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Saving Tips to Enjoy Fascinating Fort Lauderdale in Florida
A fun and relaxing vacation in Fort Lauderdale can be lavish but does not need to be expensive.Fort Lauderdale in Florida is a coastal city that faces the majestic Atlantic Ocean. It is known for its boats and pristine white sand beaches along with the nickname as being the “Venice of America” because of its amazing canal system.
History of the city involves the Seminole Indians who inhabited it first during the 18th century. It was during World War II when Major William Lauderdale and his team of Volunteers from Tennessee visited the site and bravely raised the New River Fort on an area where the city is now located in 1838. It then experienced continuous growth and development after the war and became the center point for Spring Break in the 1960s.
As of today, the city has been a bustling metropolis and a famous vacation place for local and foreign tourists and is considered as the 6th largest metro area in the whole of the United States. Being so, a number of hotels and resorts are found anywhere within the city, some of which offer affordable accommodations for budget travellers.
