Service staff very helpful, but room somewhat disappointing.
I give the service 4 stars since housekeeping left dirty linens on desk, but otherwise the staff was top-notch. The beds were very comfortable, but there were issues with the room, such as the very small closet where the safe takes up half the space, and there was no light in or near the closet. Lighting was also poor in the bathroom. Other issues involve that this was an accessible room since my sister has limited mobility. There was no method of propping the door open so she could roll her wheelchair in and out. After she showered, she was sitting on the handicap bench in the bathroom, and the bench collapsed! Luckily, she only suffered some bruises, but it could have been a disaster. When I turned over the bench, I saw that the crossbar had given way due to a screw that was loose or possibly a missing nut
to secure it. Very disappointed that such safety equipment isn't maintained. A higher quality model is needed.
We enjoyed the restaurants we visited in the Marriott Marquis. The second time we visited the Gift Shop around 11 PM, the music playing was a very annoying rap with explicit lyrics. Not what we expect at a high quality hotel.
Although the service staff was awesome, we will be trying a different hotel next time.
